281.COM Dialup customers will definitely want to take advantage of our FREE maintenance policy.  It is becoming increasingly more difficult to download Windows Security updates and new versions of Antivirus software as these files have grown to over 50 MB in some cases.

281.COM will run Windows updates, install new versions of AVG Free Antivirus, Adobe Acrobat, Sun Java, and other Internet software on your computer free of charge if you have 281.com dialup or other high speed access account with 281.com.

Free maintenance service does not include virus cleaning, troubleshooting of non-Internet problems, or labor for hardware replacement.  Computer systems that are not operating properly with the versions of software currently loaded do not qualify for free service.

Warp 5 customers receive free labor on computer repair regardless of the problem on up to three 281.com connected computers.

Expect to leave your computer for at least two business days unless you have spoken with a 281.com staff member to schedule an appointment under special circumstances.  Even then, it is possible that applying updates to your computer may take longer, requiring you to leave it depending on the speed of your computer and availability of staff and bench space to perform the upgrades at the time you bring your computer to the 281.com offices.
